The short version: Explosive Athlete works without an account and, used that way, collects no personal data — everything you enter stays on your device. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. If you choose to create the optional free cloud-sync account, only the training data you sync (listed below) is stored for you, and you can delete it and the account at any time.
Athlete names, body mass, optional measurements, and training results (jump and bar-velocity sessions) that you enter are stored in a local database on your device. Without an account nothing leaves the device and we cannot see, receive, or access any of it. Raw sensor recordings, when you switch them on in Settings, are kept on the phone for one month and are never uploaded.
You can create a free account (Settings → Sync & linked accounts) to sync between your own devices and, if you link them, between a coach and an athlete. When you do, we store for your account: your e-mail address, and the athletes, teams, training sessions (results, not raw sensor data), custom exercises, programs and coach/athlete links you sync. This data is used only to provide the sync and is hosted for us by Supabase on servers in the European Union (Ireland). It is not used for analytics or advertising and is not sold or shared with anyone. You can delete the account and everything stored with it at any time — in the app (Settings → Sync & linked accounts → Delete account & cloud data) or as described on the account-deletion page; deletion is immediate and complete.
The app uses Bluetooth (and optionally a local WiFi connection) solely to receive live movement data from your Explosive Belt sensor. This data flows directly from the sensor to your device and is never sent anywhere else. The Bluetooth permission is used for no other purpose.
CSV exports, PDF reports and backups are created only when you tap the corresponding button, and go only where you choose to send them via the standard share sheet of your phone. Deleting the app deletes all locally stored data (use the in-app backup or cloud sync first if you want to keep it).
If a future version adds features that change any of this, this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly announced in the app.
